Dr. Suhnrita Chaudhuri completed her PhD in 2014 from the Calcutta School of Tropical Medicine and the University of Calcutta, India after having topped her Masters in Physiology from the University of Calcutta. Her PhD thesis work was on the modulation of the T-cell signaling pathway in glioma conditions using a novel anti-neoplastic glycopeptide T11TS. Suhnrita has worked on several aspects of the immunology and immunotherapy of glioma. Her long term research interests have focused on a key understanding of altered molecular signal transduction pathways in glioma and the immunotherapeutic modulation of these pathways so as to accord improved immune function and therapeutic benefit against glioma.
Suhnrita has been awarded the prestigious Fulbright-Nehru Postdoctoral fellowship in 2015. In Dr. Lesniak’s lab, Suhnrita works on immunotherapeutic measures to treat gliomas.
