Congyu Wu completed her doctorate in Material Science and Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2015. Her graduate work focused on the interaction between graphene oxide, graphene quantum dots and cells, as well as exploiting their potential drug delivery applications. She systemically examined the difference of subcellular distribution and mechanism of these materials interacting with cell membrane. In addition, the platform based on the graphene quantum dots had been used as vehicle for drug delivery towards cell nucleus.  Her work in the lab will focus on exploiting nanoplatforms for brain cancer therapy.
