Lukasz Kalkowski has received his Ph.D. in Medical Sciences in 2022 from the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (Poland). He finished his post-doctoral training at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (PI: Dr. Piotr Walczak). Since the beginning of 2025, he continues his journey as a post-doctoral researcher in Dr. Lesniak’s lab. His current research focuses on using genetically modified neural stem cells as a treatment of breast cancer brain metastases, along with other compounds (small molecules or nanoparticles) for potential combination therapy.
